Mrs R Muyambo aged 47,of Chitsvatsva village in Seke communal area is really a hard-working woman. Unpaid care work remains a burden to the women of our society.
She does poultry project, gardening, all household chores and picking up of cans n plastics for recyclers Muyambo does all this to ensure food security at her home with the help of her husband.
She has managed to sink a borehole to enlarge her projects which were being downsized by water scarcity.
Above all these duties, Mrs. Muyambo goes beyond the borders to sell her picked wastes for recycling.
She uses the money earned to support her 27 year old bedridden daughter Persy, who needs toiletries.
Currently, she says she needs a stretcher bed to ease the movement of her daughter. She is also targeting to finish her just started eight roomed house by December 2020.
Mrs. Muyambo says she cannot go and join other women’s groups because of the care work around her, which goes unnoticed in our community because of uneven distribution of duties.
